Care instructions for SouSou Travel Set

To ensure you enjoy your Travel Set for a long time, we have comprehensive cleaning and care instructions for you here.

The SouSou Travel Set consists of a nylon bag and a travel yoga mat with a soft microfiber surface (suede look) and a natural rubber bottom.

Care and cleaning instructions for the nylon bag

Regular care

  • After each use, remove coarse dirt or dust with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth.
  • Do not unnecessarily expose the bag to direct sunlight or strong heat to prevent material fatigue.

Machine wash

  • The bag can be cleaned in the washing machine at up to 30 °C.
  • Use a gentle cycle with a low spin speed (max. 800 rpm).
  • Mild detergent without bleach or fabric softener.
  • It is best to wash the bag in a laundry bag to protect the surface.

Hand wash (alternative to machine wash)

  • Clean in lukewarm water with mild detergent or a gentle soap solution.
  • Gently rub over stains with a soft sponge or brush.
  • Then rinse thoroughly with clear water to remove detergent residues.

Drying & Storage

  • Do not tumble dry, but let air dry.
  • Protect from direct sunlight to prevent material fading.
  • Allow to dry completely before storing or reusing the bag.
  • Store in a dry, well-ventilated place.


Care and cleaning instructions for the travel yoga mat

Regular care after each use

  • After each use, depending on how much you have sweated, ventilate the mat well before rolling or folding it.
  • Do not let sweat or moisture soak in – it is best to let the mat dry spread out or hanging.

Machine wash

  • The yoga mat can be washed in the washing machine at a maximum of 30 °C.
  • Use a gentle cycle with a low spin speed (max. 800 rpm).
  • Do not use fabric softener or bleach, as this can damage the microfiber surface and the rubber.
  • Do not wash together with rough or hard materials to avoid damage.
  • If possible, place the mat in a large laundry bag.

Hand wash (alternative to machine wash)

  • Gently clean the mat in a bathtub or large bowl with lukewarm water and mild detergent.
  • Wipe the surface with a soft sponge or cloth, especially where sweat or dirt has accumulated.
  • Rinse with clear water to remove all soap residues.

Drying & Storage

  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Lay flat and air dry.
  • Protect from direct sunlight, as UV radiation can dry out and make natural rubber brittle.
  • After drying, roll up, do not fold, to avoid kinks or cracks in the rubber.
  • Store in a cool, dry place – ideally in the supplied bag or a mat strap.

Additional tips for a long lifespan

  1. Avoid contact with oils or greasy lotions, as they can leave stains on the microfiber surface.
  2. If unpleasant odors occur, spray the mat with a mixture of water and a few drops of essential oil (e.g., lavender or tea tree oil).
