Care instructions for SouSou wrist and ankle weights

The wrist and ankle weights are made of stretchy rubber bands with very strong Velcro fasteners and silicone-coated stainless steel weights.
To ensure you enjoy them for a long time, we have put together detailed instructions for cleaning and care, as well as a list of things to avoid.
General Cleaning After Use
-
Daily wipe-down: After each use, wipe the weights with a damp microfiber cloth to remove sweat, dirt, and dust. Use lukewarm water and, if necessary, a mild soap solution.
Clean Velcro: Remove dirt and lint from the Velcro by gently brushing the surface with a soft brush (e.g., an old toothbrush). Alternatively, you can use a Velcro cleaning tool.
Thorough Cleaning (for heavier soiling)
-
Prepare materials:
Lukewarm water in a small container
A mild soap or a special sports textile cleaner
A soft cloth or sponge
A toothbrush or soft brush
- Cleaning the rubber bands:
Dip a soft cloth in the soap solution and carefully clean the surfaces.
For stubborn stains, you can use a soft brush. Avoid excessive scrubbing, as this can cause the material to wear out faster.
Rinse the rubber with a damp cloth to remove soap residue.
-
Cleaning the silicone parts:
Clean the silicone parts with a damp sponge or cloth. If necessary, you can also use a mild soap solution here.
Be careful not to use aggressive cleaning agents, chemicals, or abrasive cleaners, as these could damage the silicone.
-
Drying:
Blot all parts dry with a clean towel.
Allow the weights to air dry completely, preferably in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight and heaters, as they can dry out or deform the materials.
Regular Care
- Disinfection: Regularly clean the weights with a disinfectant wipe or a diluted alcohol solution (max. 70%) to prevent bacteria and odors.
- Velcro lifespan: Keep the Velcro clean and dry. Close the Velcro during storage so that no dirt adheres to it.
-
Silicone care: Occasionally use a special silicone care product to maintain the flexibility and appearance of the silicone surfaces.
Things to Avoid
- No machine washing: Wrist and ankle weights should not be machine washed, as the mechanical stress can damage the materials.
- No aggressive chemicals: Avoid aggressive cleaning agents, bleaches, or solvents, as these can attack the rubber and silicone.
- No dryer: Never dry the weights in a tumble dryer or under direct heat.
-
No sharp objects: Avoid sharp objects near the weights to prevent damage to the rubber or silicone surfaces.
Storage
Store the weights in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight.
Make sure the weights are completely dry before putting them away to prevent mold.
Store them in a sealable box or bag to protect them from dust and moisture.
With these care instructions, your wrist and ankle weights will remain in top condition for a long time and provide you with reliable service.
